European projects
EU offers great opportunities for research and technological development and demonstration (6th and 7th EU Framework Programmes for Research and Technological Development).
Having contacts with the main European R&D centres, as well as with the major players in European pulp, paper and board industry (manufacturers, suppliers, customers), Bumaga BV takes active part in European projects.
The examples of EU projects where Bumaga BV is involved are:
- Sort-it - a European research project proposing to the call “New Technologies
for Waste Sorting” in the Seventh Research Framework Programme of the European
Union. The project will provide the technology for paper recovery from various
collection systems.

- Ecotarget - the largest reserarch project ever in the European pulp and paper industry, finansed by the European Commission. There are 26 partners from all over the Europe participating. Ecotarget is towards new and innovative processes for radical changes in the European pulp and paper industry.
